The Curse Brigade!
"If you can't beat 'em, do something about it anyway!"

So what is it exactly? The Curse Brigade (name to change, and hopefully at that) is a group started by the members of Celestial Being that have been stuck in the City. Its aim is to counter the effects of the curses, which they believe are the primary cause of suffering and conflict. If you'd like your character to contribute to the cause, then you can just leave a comment here, and we'll add you to the list!

Just an ooc post for the people Setsuna's given presents to this Christmas! If your character is a canonmate, is on really good terms with him (like talked several times, which really means A LOT of times—and nicely; he's not giving you tl;dr war-loving whores anything), or is giving him a present then feel free to click! :3

Do not allow this current situation to create misunderstanding among us. Even if there are those who have hurt others by pressing the button and inflicting a curse on an individual, that event in the past cannot be changed.

...The barrier is breaking. Members of the Curse Brigade must investigate immediately.

The curses have not stopped, even to this day. We still continue to see the negative effects on the citizens, from animosity to temporary or permanent death. As I and my comrades are, we cannot turn our backs on the pain and suffering that these curses inflict on everyone. The time has arrived for us to act against it.

However, our resources are limited within the City: That is why we require support from capable citizens. We are aware that our reasons to fight the curses will not be the same. Still, as long as there is the desire to confront the curses, then those feelings will lead us to the future.

We are fighting for the future of the City. And so we ask: fight with us.

ACCIDENTAL VIDEO POST;
[The first thing Setsuna does as soon as he notices the flurry of activity in the network is to check on his Gundam. Of course, the network device acts in strange ways, such as the case today. It accidentally falls out of Setsuna's pocket, the force as it lands accidentally switching it on. Have a glimpse of a blue and white robot hidden within the rocks with Setsuna looking up at it.

And then suddenly, a voice can be heard before a guy in black spandex (that has a red circle on the chest) is standing there! It's Domon Kasshu, of course. He's been looking for the City's Gundam Fighter since he arrived.]

Are you the Gundam Fighter for Neo-City?

[Setsuna's eyes widen (not that anyone viewing it can see it from this angle), and he whirls around, coming face to face with... whoever this man is, because he has not met him before. An evident frown appears on his face.]

Identify yourself.

The Gundam fighter from Neo-Japan!

[Domon watches, ready to leap into action and be the sue that he is should Setsuna do something to attack him.

Setsuna's frown deepens. Though he has no idea about what the man meant by Neo-Japan—or Neo-City for that matter—he can sense something that unsettles this person, almost as if this stranger is out there to start a fight. His hand automatically moves to the gun hidden behind his tunic.

Which is probably a wrong move.

Domon notices that movement, and with the powers granted to him by his sue Master, he moves in and punches the gun out of Setsuna's hand!]

W-What...?

[Yeah just. what he doesn't even.

And the video feed ends abruptly around here.]

[ooc; Domon is in red, Setsuna in blue! FREE GAME. Tell him anything and bring in anyone ever!]

[It seems that the device is seated on a table, camera pointing towards Setsuna. He's standing before the table and talking to some people—if they could be called that—positioned somewhere behind the device.]

When I was a child, I used to believe that a god will reward me when I fought for the purification of the world. But then I realized that I was wrong, and that a god did not exist in a twisted and distorted world.

I wanted it to change, and that was why I fought using the Gundams. I wanted a place where pain and suffering as a result of endless warfare did not exist, and to create such a world, I had participated in armed interventions to eradicate the sources of distortion. To fight, to destroy with my Gundam... that was all I knew. The world soon retaliated and united against Celestial Being, and then... It changed.

However, four years after the battle against the UN Forces and pain and suffering still continued to exist under the rule of the A-LAWS, guided by the Innovades. We were the ones who brought about that changed world, and that was the sin we carried. Because of our armed interventions, the world began to rely on the aid of beings who only knew how to use force to maintain the fake sense of peace.

We were wrong when we changed the world through armed interventions, and if we were to atone for that sin, then we would change the world again. However, in order to change the world, I must first change myself. I understand now: What I believed in four years ago was wrong. I am not a weapon, I am not a destroyer. My Gundam and I... we needed to change. And then, we would grasp the link to the future.

Humanity needs to change before they can advance, and the only way to do so is for everyone to understand each other. To live together and unite in a sense of mutual understanding... that is what will lead humans to a better future, the type of future that they can live in.

And I do not feel guilty about fighting for the future with Celestial Being. We will live on, not as mere weapons, but as a group of people who aim to eliminate fighting. Even if we have to use military power, even if the world abandons us, even if we take on all the contradictions upon ourselves. We will continue to confront the world. We have to continue to exist.

For the future.

[And if you look—really look—you might just catch the slightest hint of a yellow glow in Setsuna's eyes before the device shuts off.]

Investigate on "Weiß" and put a stop their actions immediately. If necessary, coordinate with other groups or individuals also examining the matter. Whoever this is, they must be stopped.

[The video clicks on, and Setsuna is seen staring back at the camera. There's a trail of blood from the corner of his mouth, and sweat is trickling down his forehead and temples. His breathing is heavy as he speaks.]

This is... Setsuna F. Seiei... I am located by the south shore. Medical assistance required immediately.

[The screen then shakes as the device slips from his hand and lands onto the floor with a loud thud. For the briefest moment, you can see the view of a Gundam cockpit with a clean, diagonal slash starting from the upper left and trailing down to the lower right, deep and wide enough so that the inside of the cockpit can be seen, before the screen fizzles and abruptly turns to black.]

Lelouch vi Britannia has been taken to the hospital and is being attended to by a healer. Status critical. Any known comrades should head to stated location immediately.

To the acquaintances of Lockon Stratos: based on my visit to the Hall of the Missing, I can confirm that he is no longer in the City.

To everyone I have spoken to during the last two days, ignore what I had said.

[The video feed is shaking, and hurried footsteps can be heard, and all that can be seen is a wide, gray road and quick glimpses of the foot of buildings. After a few seconds, a young male's voice, no older than that of a child, speaks up:]

I will offer myself to God, and join the Crusade. I shall become a warrior, recognized and approved by God.

[The shaking stops, and the footsteps come to a pause. For a moment, the image blurs in quick motions to both sides. If one were watching close enough, the quickest glimpse of a fountain can be caught in the midst of the rattling and before the feed refocuses onto the road ahead.]

Where am I? Is this... Is this a test?

[ooc; action for anyone who wants to find little Setsuna beside the fountain, video/voice for the rest. 8)]

[Audible enough are the sounds of the cracking of dried leaves and branches under hurried footsteps, accompanied by tired and heavy breathing. Then suddenly, music spouts out from the network device, followed by a lovely and mesmerizing voice that fills the air. Also, for some reason his breathing is now steady enough for him to sing!]

I don't know what I can do,

The most recent curse allowed many citizens to express what they are fighting for. Despite many actions being an exaggeration due to the curse, and even if affected people would not normally agree with their course of action, the fact remains constant. People attack each other due to their opinions, refusing to listen to one another. Conflict arises due to misunderstandings and differences, and large-scale misunderstandings lead to war and suffering. Many want to change the future, but how... How do we know the right path? The path towards a better future, when humans are a conflict to themselves?

Does it even exist? A way for people to understand each other.

I have not found it yet.
